Perceptions of Place

A place is specific, built of all the threads that make up the landscape and the experience of being in a place is different depending on the weather, patterns of use, the direction of the wind, which path is taken. Using this as a point of departure, woven textile pieces are created using these different ways of experiencing a place as a way of influencing the outcome, a landscape that is perceived differently depending on the point of reference.
